Wednesday 14th September 2011

... oh what a day ...

Few minutes after i woke up i was out of the door to get to the department ... several issues needed to be sorted out...

... a boat going out to do deep sea sampling ...
... another boat going out to retireve some corals off a nearby seamount ...
... meet the diving guys to join them as from today ...
... set plans for the Nitrox Blender course ...
... check details about the Nitrox instructor course ...
... finalise information/prices about Nitrox Membrane systems available ...

All this before i take off on one of the boats ... even if rescheduling ... but at least the people involved know i'm on the job.

Sorted only a couple of those issues up till lunchtime ... then had to scoot home and get my stuff to sprint to the harbour ... needless to say ... i sweated like a pig ... but knew that i could shower on the boat ... wrong assumption as the boat was a smaller version but faster.

Basically we had to get on the spot, ensure its the right place, and then push in some sensors to be picked and dropped again every couple of hours.

Apart from being a boring job there isn't much you can do and no space to get away from the others and do something else.

Well the positive part of the story that it ends with us approaching the bigger ship Arquipelago and have dinner, wash, and finally sleep ... much needed sleep ... as it will be an early ... very early morning ... to return to the little bugger ... and continue what we did this afternoon.
