... 2 week aniversary in Azores ... went so quickly ...
All in all a quiet day but which was characterised by a meeting with João Monteiro who coordinates all diving operations at DOP ... he was on holidays ... but now that he's back I can join in the diving group who are presently focussed on Caulerpa control. We discussed Nitrox as well and the difficulties DOP has to get into such operations ... toughest of all is the availability of Oxygen ... which they get from the mainland ... that is from Portugal itself.
Didn't stay much at the department as i didn't feel like spending too much time there ... so walked home around 3pm and had an early dinner and watched TV ... gives me time to think and plan tomorrow and following days.
I checked my email and found an email from Paulinha ... the lady of the DOP boats ... and informed me that i could join in a trip from tomorrow ... how's that for timing? when i was just thinking of how to organise myself and tasks for this week.
Gave Paulinha a positive reply and made a mental note to speak to João Monteiro tomorrow morning that i won't be going diving before Monday 19th.
With this positive thought i settled in my bedroom ... calmly letting the evening slip away ... did some reading about another island ... Flores ... which i plan to visit the weekend after the next.
As soon as the last movie ended ... i switched off lights ... mental note to wake up early to do the laundry including the bed linen ... and opened the window ajar to hear the sea at a distance.
